NAWOJ Hails CSP Anietie Okokon Edem Iniedu on Appointment as Force Public Relations Officer

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) warmly congratulates CSP Anietie Okokon Edem Iniedu on his appointment as the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

NAWOJ describes the appointment as a fitting recognition of CSP Iniedu’s outstanding professionalism, dedication, and extensive experience in public communication, intelligence management, operational policing, and institutional accountability.

Over the years, CSP Iniedu has distinguished himself through exemplary service and commitment to fostering trust between the police and the public. His notable achievements, particularly as Head of the Complaint Response Unit (CRU) at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, demonstrated his capacity for effective stakeholder engagement, transparency, and responsive policing.

The Association notes that his wealth of experience and proven expertise in strategic communication position him well to effectively manage the image and public affairs responsibilities of the Nigeria Police Force at a critical period in the nation’s security and development efforts.

As a key stakeholder in the media sector, NAWOJ is confident that CSP Iniedu’s appointment will further strengthen the relationship between the Nigeria Police Force and the media, promote openness in communication, and enhance public confidence in law enforcement institutions.

NAWOJ also commends the Inspector-General of Police for the thoughtful appointment and expresses optimism that CSP Iniedu will bring innovation, professionalism, and excellence to the office of the Force Public Relations Officer.
