The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) National Chairperson, Hajia Aisha Ibrahim, was honoured as a Special Guest at a high-level workshop on Gender-Based Violence for Health Workers, organized by the Special Adviser to the President on Health, Dr. Salma Ibrahim Anas, at the Carlton Hotel.

The workshop served as a strong call for collective action in tackling the growing menace of gender-based violence in society. It brought together key stakeholders in the health and development sectors for insightful discussions, knowledge sharing, and strategic collaboration aimed at addressing the challenges facing women and vulnerable groups.
Speaking on the significance of the engagement, NAWOJ National Chairperson, Hajia Aisha Ibrahim, described the event as impactful and timely, noting that it created fresh opportunities for collaboration and partnership with organizations and individuals committed to advancing advocacy, awareness, and community-based interventions against gender-based violence.
The association further emphasized that the workshop reinforced its commitment to promoting social justice, protecting human dignity, and amplifying the voices of women through sustained advocacy and responsible journalism.
Participants at the workshop also highlighted the critical role of health workers, media practitioners, and policymakers in creating safer communities and ensuring support systems for survivors of gender-based violence.
