Niger state Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has commissioned the newly constructed state High Court in Lapai Local Government Area, stating it symbolises our vision to decentralise the judicial process, making justice more accessible to the people of the state.

The Governor Who spoked through his Deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba expressed satisfaction with the way the edifice was constructed through direct labour.
The Governor said the state judiciary has been playing a pivotal role in upholding the principle of justice and fair play for the people of the state, while the state remains committed in bringing to light it’s New Niger Agenda.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the state Chief Judge, Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik said the decision to renovate the state high court in Lapai was born out of the desire by the state judiciary for enhanced maximum productivity.

She explained that the state high court in Lapai has been in a poor state of dilapidation over the years hence the need for the state judiciary to renovate it so as to make it more conducive for the judge and other judicial staff to discharge their duties effectively.
She Said the edifice was put in place at the cost of over 83 million Naira.
Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik said the measure would further ensure quick dispensation and administration of justice in line with judicial mandate.
The state Chief Judge reiterated her commitment and determination to provide conducive working environment for all categories of staff in the judicial arm of government.
She said the construction which was done through direct labour was funded through the megre resources of the state judiciary.
Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik commended the state Government under the able leadership of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for his immense support to the state judiciary.
The state Chief Judge then assured the executive arm of government of the state Judicial working relationship at all times.
In her welcome address,the State High Court Registra,Hajiya Amina Laminde Musa Saidu said the commissioning of the state high court in Lapai was a clear commitment of the judiciary in unveiling the committment to social justice, equity and fairness to the people of the state.
