PRESS ADDRESS ON LINGERING TERRORISM IN ORSU LGA AND “MURDER”VALLEY – A PASSIONATE APPEAL TO THE MILITARY AUTHORITIES TO SITE A PURPOSE MEANT MILITARY BASE WITHIN THE PRECINCTS OF THE UDEKE VALLEY (MURDER VALLEY) IN ORSU IHITEUKWA.

Gentlemen of the press, members of the international community, ladies and gentlemen,
We address you today on the six-year security crisis in Orsu Local Government Area, Imo State, the evil tentacles which affected parts of five States of southeastern Nigeria caused by the violent activities of the Nnamdi KANU led Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and its terrorist wing, the Eastern Security Network, ESN.
It may interest the world to know that the entire architecture and control of Nnamdi KANU ipob ESN terrorists syndicate started in Orsu ihiteukwa, “MURDER”valley in 2017 as BZM Biafra Zionist movement. Under Nnamdi KANU’s watch, the BZM later metamorphosed and went full blown in August 2020 as Eastern security network, ESN .
Mike Ahize, a die-hard IPOb general coordinator from Amaebu ebenator, Orsu LGA was able to carve out a large forest enclave known as “Murder Valley” which is situated in ANCIENT UDEKE VALLEY, Uda village in Orsu ihiteukwa, Orsu LGA, Imo State .
Obviously, the topography of the Valley must have necessitated their choice to domicile the ESN headquarters in the notorious murder valley at Uda village, Orsu ihiteukwa, ORSU LGA IMO State.
It is on record , after Nnamdi KANU launch of ESN in 2020, Orsu LGA, a hitherto safety conscious and peaceful popular Christian local government area gradually became the operational base of the murderous ESN vermins commissioned by Nnamdi KANU.
The distraught people of Orsu LGA became witnesses to not JUST terror , but what should be best described as a deliberate , clandestine, systematic genocidal pogrom.
As at March 2021, Orsu had become both large scale bloodletting human abattoir and war zone.
ESN IPOB activities were both horrendous, ungodly and the worst form of crude terror whose morphology ranged from wanton arson, rape, kidnapping, human organ harvesting, car jacking, castration, human head hunting and cutting and full blown cannibalism.
First serious government security confrontation and INVASION of the notorious MURDER valley was On December 13, 2021, when a joint team of Military, Police, and DSS raided the enclave, rescuing a surviving abducted traditional ruler HRH. EZE Acho Ndukwe ( other two traditional rulers from OKIGWE zone have been killed by ESN led by BUTEUZO, gentle, Ntiwa and Baby bush…all ESN nicknames ) before the rescue of the survivor came.
Following their regrouping into the murder valley in 2022, another JTF invasion led by the military took place on March 7th , 2024 where more than 100 tents , supreme headquarters and command center were destroyed and more than 50 ESN gunmen killed.
Few months after the operation, the ESN regrouped the second time, necessitating yet another recent JTF 3hour foot assault into the valley led by the MILITARY and other sister security services.
It is noteworthy that the persistent regrouping is obvious testament that ESN live wire is traced to the MURDER valley in Orsu ihiteukwa, imo state.
MURDER VALLEY, ORSU IHITEUKWA…THE EPICENTRE , HEADQUARTERS AND LIVE WIRE OF IPOB ESN SINCE 2017:
Murder Valley located in Orsu-Ihiteukwa, Orsu LGA has served as IPOB/ESN’s “Supreme Headquarters, Command and Control Centre, and Military Council Headquarters”. The Valley landscape is fit for tough permanent military contonenment.
Impact over the last six years:
Loss of lives: More than 10,000 lives have been lost in Orsu LGA in the last 6years . The number includes dozens of lone security personnel who fell victims, about 20 traditional rulers, wealthy business men and political office holders and aspirants which include Obiora Agbasimalo, Okey Okoye , and civilians have been killed. Victims abducted from other parts of the South East are usually brought to the MURDER VALLEY which is their undeniable stronghold for torture and slaughter.
Destruction of property: Homes, markets, and farmlands were burnt. The area was deserted with nobody living there as early as 2021.
Public infrastructure: Police stations, INEC offices, courts, and local government secretariats across Orsu and neighboring LGAs have been attacked and razed. Physical infrastructure such as roads, electricity transformers, telecommunication equipment, health centers and schools were also looted and vandalized.
Forced exile: Since 2021, thousands of Orsu indigenes have fled their homes. Traditional marriages, burials, and commerce that should hold in Orsu are now conducted in Owerri or other locations outside the state. Indigenes have been on forced exile for over 6 years.
Economic collapse: Farming and craftsmanship, the economic mainstay in Orsu LGA and ORSU Ihiteukwa , Awo-Idemili, Ebenator, and other Orsu communities, stopped. The valley was used to rear animals and farm to sustain the camp.
CURRENT SITUATION:
While security forces have repeatedly dislodged the camps, regrouping and reprisal attacks have prolonged the crisis. As of 2025, many displaced persons from Orsu LGA remain unable to return home. The humanitarian cost is severe: broken families, out-of-school children, forested homes , continued exile, dead Bodies in mortuaries left unburied and destroyed livelihoods. The current improved SITUATION must be sustained to COMPLETELY defeat the evil .
Our call
- To the Federal Government:
Sustain clearance operations and establish a FORMIDABLE permanent MILITARY base in Orsu ihiteukwa, within the precincts of the notorious MURDER VALLEY.
IMO STATE GOVERNMENT
There is overriding need to begin a “Marshall Plan” for Orsu which must include…rebuilding of roads, schools, electricity , security buffer stations, and resettle displaced persons with security guarantees.
To the international community: Recognize the humanitarian crisis in Orsu LGA. Support demining(explosives removal), rehabilitation , trauma counseling, and reconstruction.
To IPOB/ESN: Lay down your arms and quit banditry. The ideology of self-determination cannot be pursued by turning Igboland into a wasteland.
To the media: Help us tell the Orsu story. The world must know that for 6 years, an entire LGA has lived in exile in their own country.
Orsu is not just a dot on the map. It is the ancestral home of hundreds of thousands of Nigerians who deserve to go home.
Stop the IPOb ESN terrorist in Orsu LGA by establishing the already designated military base now . The earlier and faster, the better .
