The National Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Aishatu Ibrahim, has congratulated the Association’s Deputy National President, Chief Lilian Okonkwo-Ogabu, PhD, on receiving an Award of Recognition during the 41st anniversary celebration of Rivers State Television (RSTV).

In a congratulatory message, Aishatu described the honour as a well-deserved recognition of Chief Okonkwo-Ogabu’s exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment to staff welfare, and outstanding contributions to the growth and development of Rivers State Television as one of the pioneering broadcasting institutions in Nigeria’s South-South region.
She noted that the prestigious award reflects the Deputy National President’s years of selfless service, dedication to professional excellence, and commitment to advancing the media profession.
According to the NAWOJ National Chairperson, the recognition is not only a celebration of Chief Okonkwo-Ogabu’s achievements but also an inspiration to media professionals and women journalists across the country to remain committed to excellence, integrity, and impactful leadership.
Aishatu expressed confidence that the latest honour would serve as another significant milestone in Chief Okonkwo-Ogabu’s distinguished career, urging her to continue setting new standards of excellence while making meaningful contributions to the development of journalism and broadcasting in Nigeria.
