Comrade Ike, Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council, has urged the leadership of the Correspondents Chapel, FCT, to uphold high standards of professionalism and promote ethical journalism. This call was made during a courtesy visit by the chapel’s leadership, led by Acting Chairman Felix Ojo, to the council, on Monday, 24th February 2025.

Ike emphasized the importance of ethical and professional standards, citing the council’s provision of scholarships to equip members with necessary skills and knowledge. He also stressed the need for continuing education and professional development for journalists, given the evolving media landscape.
The Vice Chairman of the Council, Comrade Yahaya Ndambabo, represented Ike and highlighted the need to sanitize the Correspondents Chapel for a better union. This involves upholding professionalism, promoting excellence, and unity among members.
