The National Leadership, Stand Up for Women Society (SWS), Nigeria. ACCEPTANCE OF APPOINTMENT AS CHAIRPERSON, STAND UP FOR WOMEN SOCIETY (SWS), EBONYI STATE CHAPTER

Dear Esteemed National Leadership, I write with profound gratitude, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility to formally accept my appointment as the Chairperson of Stand Up for Women Society (SWS), Ebonyi State Chapter.

I receive this appointment not merely as an honour, but as a solemn call to service. I am deeply conscious that leadership is not defined by the title one carries, but by the lives one touches, the voices one amplifies, the opportunities one creates, and the positive difference one leaves behind.

I am therefore sincerely grateful to the leadership of Stand Up for Women Society for the confidence reposed in me. I do not take this trust for granted. I accept it with a heart filled with appreciation and with a firm resolve to justify the confidence placed in my leadership.

Women are not merely beneficiaries of development; they are architects of families, communities, institutions, and nations. When women are empowered, society gains stronger families, more resilient communities, greater economic productivity, and a richer pool of ideas and leadership.

It is against this understanding that I embrace this responsibility with great enthusiasm and determination. As Chairperson of the Ebonyi State Chapter, I am committed to working collaboratively with the national leadership, state executives, members, partners, government institutions, civil society organisations, traditional institutions, the media, and other stakeholders to advance the values and objectives of SWS.

I look forward to building a chapter that is inclusive, purposeful, compassionate, transparent, innovative, and action-driven—a chapter where the dignity of every woman is respected, where the voice of every woman matters, and where our advocacy is matched by meaningful action.I believe that the challenges confronting women cannot be addressed by one person or one office.

They require collective wisdom, courage, collaboration, persistence, and genuine commitment. I therefore welcome the support, counsel, constructive criticism, and partnership of every member and stakeholder as we embark on this important journey together.

My acceptance comes with a pledge: to serve with integrity, lead with humility, listen with empathy, act with courage, and remain accountable to the women and communities we are privileged to serve.

I am particularly inspired by the possibility of transforming this appointment into a platform for meaningful impact—creating conversations that matter, supporting initiatives that empower women, encouraging young women to aspire to leadership, and contributing to a society where every woman can live with dignity, security, opportunity, and a sense of purpose.

With gratitude in my heart and a renewed sense of responsibility, I hereby formally accept my appointment as Chairperson of Stand Up for Women Society (SWS), Ebonyi State Chapter.I look forward to serving, learning, collaborating, and building with everyone as we write a new and impactful chapter for women in Ebonyi State.

May our collective efforts bring hope where there is despair, opportunity where there is limitation, courage where there is fear, and a stronger voice to women whose voices have for too long remained unheard.Thank you once again for this honour and for the confidence reposed in me.With profound gratitude and a commitment to service,Igbele Ekwutos Elizabeth ChairpersonStand Up for Women Society (SWS)Ebony State Chapter
