The Business Women of Influence for Renewed Hope Agenda (BWI-RHA), FCT Chapter, has inaugurated its executive committee and commenced the establishment of structures across the six Area Councils of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as part of preparations for the official launch of the organisation.
The decision was reached during the chapter’s inaugural meeting held in Abuja on Saturday, where members drawn from different wards met to formally kick-start activities and lay the foundation for the effective operation of the association.

Addressing members at the meeting, the National Director of Media and Communication Committee, Hon. Evelyn Onyilo, commended the impressive turnout and commitment demonstrated by participants, describing it as a reflection of the group’s shared vision.
She explained that BWI-RHA was established to empower women engaged in business and other productive ventures through entrepreneurship, capacity building and humanitarian initiatives.
According to her, while the organisation is committed to supporting the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, its broader mandate is centred on promoting women’s economic empowerment and improving livelihoods across the country.
Hon. Onyilo noted that the vision of the Founder and Director-General of the organisation, Dr. Ngozi Oyewole, extends beyond political participation and is aimed at creating sustainable opportunities that will enable Nigerian women to thrive.
In her remarks, the FCT State Coordinator, Hon. Talatu Mohammed Kabir, welcomed members and pledged to build a vibrant and inclusive chapter with active structures in all six Area Councils of the FCT.
She assured members that the chapter would embrace an open and participatory leadership style that encourages grassroots involvement and provides equal opportunities for women to contribute to the growth of the organisation.
The congress subsequently ratified the appointment of members into various leadership positions.
The newly constituted FCT Executive Committee is headed by Hon. Talatu Mohammed Kabir as State Coordinator, with Ezinne Lolo Ngozi Chukwu serving as Deputy Coordinator.
Other members of the executive include Mrs. Tina Ihejieto (Secretary), Mrs. Ozoezi Henrietta Chimezie (Assistant Secretary), Binta Kawu (Director of Membership Mobilisation), Rakiya Ibrahim (Director of Grassroots Mobilisation), Happiness Bassey (Director of Women Empowerment and Entrepreneurship), Mrs. Queen Kunde (Public Relations Officer), Helen Zamani (Director of Political Affairs and Stakeholders Engagement), Fatima Yakubu (Director of Finance), Hon. Mary T. Musa (Treasurer), Nnenna Emedolibe (Director of Welfare), Monica Danladi (Director of Protocol and Events), Bola Koforola (Auditor), and Nkemjika Nwachukwu (Youth Leader).
As part of efforts to deepen the organisation’s presence at the grassroots, the State Coordinator also initiated the process of constituting leadership structures in the six Area Councils of the FCT, with representatives from all councils actively participating in the exercise.
The meeting was adjourned to July 18, 2026, when members are expected to finalise arrangements for the formal inauguration of the Business Women of Influence for Renewed Hope Agenda (BWI-RHA), FCT Chapter.
