The Chief Executive Officer of SHEIKS & BISHOPS Consultant, Chief Sir Chikwe Udensi, has reaffirmed his organisation’s commitment to a strategic partnership with the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), FCT Chapter, aimed at strengthening grassroots empowerment for women, particularly in health, social welfare,security and community development.

Chief Udensi made this known on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in Abuja during a courtesy visit by the executives of NAWOJ FCT, led by the Chairperson, Comrade Bassey Ita Ikpang, as part of activities marking this year’s International Women’s Day.

He commended NAWOJ FCT for its forthcoming market place advocacy initiative, noting that the approach provides an opportunity for direct, one-on-one engagement with women at the grassroots.

He observed that such interpersonal communication is especially important in communities where limited electricity supply can affect the reach of conventional broadcast messages.
Chief Udensi also advised the association to expand its advocacy to include security awareness, encouraging journalists to sensitise the public on the importance of being security conscious.
He further called for sustained advocacy for improved welfare and remuneration for security agencies, noting that enhanced support for personnel would contribute positively to national stability.
In addition, he pledged to support NAWOJ FCT’s mobility needs. He encouraged continued collaboration among stakeholders to promote social inclusion and improve the overall wellbeing of citizens.

Earlier in her remarks, the Chairperson of NAWOJ FCT, Comrade Bassey Ita Ikpang, emphasized the importance of collaboration between both organisations in advancing the cause of women, promoting gender equity, and strengthening media advocacy on critical issues such as health, governance, and social justice.
She described Chief Udensi as a visionary leader whose wealth of experience and influence would significantly boost NAWOJ’s grassroots engagement, particularly the upcoming marketplace outreach programme scheduled for April 30.
Comrade Ikpang also highlighted his contributions to national development, including his role in local government administration, innovations in vehicle and motorcycle plate numbering systems, and his engagements in governance and community development.
She further noted that his professional accomplishments and commitment to societal progress make him a valuable partner in driving impactful advocacy initiatives.
Chief Udensi was decorated as a Patron of NAWOJ FCT to enable the association tap on his wealth of experience especially his humanitarian contributions and dedication to building a better society.
