The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has congratulated its Deputy National Chairperson, Dr. Lilian Okonkwo-Ogabu, following her induction into the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) at the Guild’s 22nd Annual Conference.
In a congratulatory message signed by the National Chairperson of NAWOJ, Aishatu Ibrahim, the Association described the induction as a significant professional milestone and a recognition of Dr. Okonkwo-Ogabu’s years of commitment to journalism, editorial leadership and professional service.
NAWOJ noted that the new honour reflects the contributions of its Deputy National Chairperson to the journalism profession and represents a moment of pride for the Association and women journalists across the country.
The Association expressed confidence that Dr. Okonkwo-Ogabu’s professional experience and knowledge would add value to the Nigerian Guild of Editors while further strengthening her contribution to the development of journalism in Nigeria.
“Your induction into this revered body is indeed a milestone achievement and a proud moment for NAWOJ and women journalists across Nigeria,” the Association stated.
NAWOJ further wished the Deputy National Chairperson continued success, greater professional impact and new opportunities to contribute to journalism and society.
The Association joined colleagues, family and well-wishers in celebrating Dr. Okonkwo-Ogabu on the achievement, describing it as another notable chapter in her professional journey.
