NAWOJ National Chairperson Consoles National Secretary, Jigawa Chairperson Over Mother’s Death

The National Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Comrade Aisha Ibrahim, has led a high-powered delegation on a condolence visit to the Association’s National Secretary, Comrade Wasila Ibrahim Ladan, and the Chairperson of the NAWOJ Jigawa State Chapter, Comrade Hauwa Ibrahim Ladan, following the death of their beloved mother.

The late matriarch passed away on Wednesday in Kuntau, Kano State, leaving behind a legacy of faith, compassion and dedication to family values.

The delegation comprised the Zonal Secretary of NAWOJ Zone A, Comrade Daharatu A. Aliyu; Chairperson of the NAWOJ Kano State Chapter, Comrade Bahijja Kabara; Chairperson of the NAWOJ Kaduna State Chapter, Comrade Sahura Maidoki; Treasurer NAWOJ Jigawa, Comrade Nefisat Hassan; Financial Secretary NAWOJ Jigawa, Comrade Sadiya I. Musa; and the Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties and Projects to the National Chairperson, Comrade Sarah Ogodo.

Speaking during the visit, Comrade Aisha Ibrahim described the deceased as a virtuous, God-fearing woman whose unwavering prayers, guidance and support played a significant role in the success and achievements of her daughters.

She prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the departed soul, grant her Aljannah Firdaus, and bless the bereaved family with the strength and fortitude to bear the painful loss.

Members of the delegation also extended their heartfelt condolences to the family, offering prayers for divine comfort, peace and enduring strength during this period of mourning.

The visit underscored the spirit of unity, compassion and solidarity that continues to define the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, as members rallied around their colleagues in a moment of grief.
