Obituary Announcement: Ichie Agbaekperechi for Burial July 23 In Uturu
The Okeoma family of Umuchinyere, Amamba Autonomous Community, Ndundu, Uturu, Isuikwuato LGA, Abia State, announces the passing unto glory of their patriarch, Late Ichie Ezinna Sylvester Nwankwor Okeoma, Ichie Agbaekperechi, on 5th May, 2026. He died peacefully at the ripe age of 103, as the oldest person in the community.
According to Sir Pius Okeoma, Principal Partner at Goodwill Chambers and son of the deceased, the late Ichie was a devoted Christian who lived a life of peace, love, and the fear of God. “He left us the legacy of children and grandchildren, and taught us to be law-abiding, honest, and peaceful in all our dealings with all men. He was also a farmer who tended his plantations until age caught up with him,” Sir Pius stated.
The burial programme has been scheduled for Thursday, 23rd July, 2026. It will include a funeral Mass at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Ndundu, followed by interment at his compound in Umuchinyere, and entertainment of guests thereafter.
The family solicits prayers for God’s fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and for the resources to give Ichie Agbaekperechi a befitting burial. “Our prayer is that we emulate his peaceful and upright life, so that those behind us will not suffer,” Sir Pius concluded.
