STUDY YOUR CIRCLE⭕

By Sharon Emephia

Lately, I discovered I’ve been understanding life differently. Through regular and continuous encounters with diverse people, ll thinking and understanding of life has constantly been evolving rapidly. Life itself is a school and a teacher.

One of the key things I’ve learnt in relating with people I just get to meet on my life’s journey, is the wisdom not to relate with them as though we are exactly the same, in terms of character, values, and ultimately, mindsets, which often gets formed mostly by people’s life experiences, including those from childhood.

I met a guy who told me his ex-girlfriend couldn’t understand why he was such a gentleman and would not even hit her once in a while. According to her,she loves the feeling that comes with being pampered after a thorough beating by the person she’s dating. Now, imagine a person from a “proper family” having to relate with such a fellow. You already know what the outcome will be.

Another guy grew up watching his mum beat up his dad, and he vowed no woman would ever do that to him. So, as an adult dude, before any argument with a woman even gets loud, he makes sure he already serves the lady a couple of slaps, according to him, he doesn’t want to take chances, so he doesn’t end up being beaten up by whichever lady he’s dating or even eventually gets married to.

A lot of adults become their past life’s experiences, they form opinions and develop mindsets from various life encounters, therefore, when next you meet people and you are looking at growing lasting friendships and relationships with them, do well to know who they really are, get to know what experiences they have had on their life’s journey, their current mindset on how they see life, and how they want to participate in life with other humans.

Do not just jump into friendships or relationships as though the people you are relating with are your cloned versions, so you don’t get your hands burnt. A common interest may have brought you and people together, but don’t ever get carried away by just that, so as not to intentionally pay attention to people, to understand who they really are – their values, past experiences, character and boundaries.

Also, as we keep growing, learning and evolving in life, let’s also learn to be patient with good people we meet on life’s journey, who are still getting to learn stuff you already learnt, as long as they are teachable, and are not wicked hearted.

I always like to emphasize that there’s a world of difference between someone that’s still genuinely learning the ropes in new aspects & seasons of their life’s journey, and people that are just intentionally wicked hearted and derive satisfaction from hurting people.

As you step into another Week, may the Lord go before you and make every crooked place straight, and may God’s Glory be your defence.

Intentionally stay aligned to God, so you can continually be led and controlled by His Spirit through the winding ways of today’s World

Always remember, Not every open door is for you. Not every invitation must be honoured.

Have a great week ahead, filled with pleasant surprises, goodness, finances, good people , laughter and love.

Stay Inspired ❤️
