WE ARE ALL VICTORS
Great NAWOJians
It is my great pleasure to congratulate our newly elected National Executive Council of NAWOJ on their well deserved victory at the just concluded National Delegates Conference in Abuja.
The election was no doubt competitive, but as we all know, every race must produce winners. It’s for this reason I congratulate our newly elected National President, Comrade Aisha Bura Ibrahim; National Deputy President and our own daughter and leader in Rivers State, Dr Lilian Ogabu-Okonkwo; National Secretary, Wasilan Lada, and all other elected national officers, and to our
South-South Zone F Vice President, Stella Macualey and the South-South Zone F Secretary,
Eunice Emeyazia, among others of our great association on their victory.

While I commend your doggedness that gave you victory in the just concluded election, yesterday, I want to urge you to be magnanimous in victory by carrying everyone, including your opponents in the election, along in the running of the affairs of our dear Association. I have no doubt that with a team spirit, our new Executive will surpass the records of their predecessors.

Meanwhile, I want to commend other contestants who were not fortunate to clinch the trophy for fighting a good battle. Even though they lost the trophy, they should not lose the steam of comradeship.

They should be sportmanly and support the new Executive in the smooth running of our dear Association. Election has been fought and won, all hands must now be on deck to move NAWOJ to greater heights. In the just concluded election, I believe we are all victors.

To all the delegates that participated in the election, most especially my wonderful Rivers delegates, I salute your resilience, perseverance, steadfastness and above all, your civil conduct before, during and after the election. Your display of oneness, in spite of different political leanings during the election, makes us unique as an Association.
I encourage you to continue with this spirit of unity and remain firm with a view to building the great NAWOJ we all yearn for. Let’s forgive ourselves and forget whatever our differences might be. Remember, united we STAND, but divided we FALL.
At this junction, I want to apologize for the inconveniences suffered by Rivers delegates to and from Abuja in the last two days. It’s a very excruciating experience I must say, but I am happy that we all weathered the storm together and came back safely.
Thank you my wonderful sisters and colleagues. Thank you very much for always being there for me when I need you most.
I SINCERELY LOVE YOU ALL.
Your humble servant,
Susan Serekara-Nwikhana
Chairman, NAWOJ, Rivers State Chapter.
